Day 9: The Journey to Agadir

After lunch we traveled four hours across the plains and up and over the southern-most section of the High Atlas mountains.

 Lots of sky!

 Irrigation pond.

 Entering the High Atlas.

 Almost to the top!
 Back to the red soil.
 Dangerous decent!
Heading to the Atlantic.
The seaside city of Agadir as seen from the Agadir Kasbah (fortress).

 The walls of the kasbah.
 The port and city beyond.
Hotel Sofitel Royal Bay: the lobby done up for Valentine's Day.
 That's some pool!
Beds on the beach!  The arabic writing on the hillside in the background is located under the kasbah and reads: "God, Nation, King" which is the national motto.

 We're finally warm!
 Feet on vacation:
The sun setting into the Atlantic!  Hard to wrap a New England head around that one!

 The hotel grounds at night.

Who doesn't love a flaming fountain?
 So pretty! (and still warm!)
